I wonder if they'lll have like extra water containers outside on the concourses. It's gonna be so hot, they don't want a countless number of people going down to dehydration. Vendors will have an amazing day at the park though.

My heart goes out to all those who have to work at the park this weekend in the extremely hot parts of the days.

Heres one for all those hot dog, beer, margarita, pop corn, soda, cotton candy and raffle ticket vendors. You guys rock!

Hottest day in six years, they say. Upper 90s, maybe 100. I bet it hits the century mark on the field and along the left field line in the sun. And it's hazy and humid too. Reminds me of old Virginia.

About 3 years ago we went to a game that was so hot we spent a load on water and the gift shop was selling towels for a buck a piece to wipe off with.

Well, the Sox should have the advantage.

Dusty Baker says that the black Cub players will have difficulties if the hot sun is out for day games....so maybe that'll slow Derek Lee this weekend LOL!:dtroll:

Haha. The 5 day forecast here in Dallas is 98/98/98/98/98. And it is not even the hot part of the summer yet. You guys back in Chicago can handle it. :D:

Ozzie was asked about the heat by a ***** reporter(prob george offman). He stated, paraphrase, "Good, thats the way baseball is suppose to be played, blood, sweat...... If you want to be comfortable play basketball.."

I hate to quote myself :D: , but I have to say that I was really very comfortable in the nice shady RF corner! There was the occasional cool breeze wafting by and I hardly sweated at all! The day was AWESOME - great weather as it turned out, excellent company, a close-up view of Crede's home run ( PINNNNNNNNNNNNNG!!!!! off the pole!!! ), FANTASTIC ballgame and niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice quiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiet Cubbie fans!!!
