Last year it was Sammy Soso who was dictating where he hit in the order. This year it's Corey Patterson who has graciously agreed (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050622&content_id=1100528&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc) to hit leadoff. Who's in charge there?

We're supposed to believe that Kid Corey suddenly, overnight, had this awakening, and that, yes, he will be a lead off hitter, and do everything he can to make it work ? I'm sure we can all look forward to more swinging for the fences like a power hitter, which is what a lead off man is supposed to do, thus leading to lots and lots of K's. ("One out here in the first, and here's the number 2 hitter...)
