Haha, you beat me by two minutes, I was just about to start a thread about this.

Here's hoping the Tiggers can keep it up and propel us into a double-digit lead! :gulp:

the twins announcers are currently talking about how they now appreciate the wild card, and how they are talking wildcard at this point of the season because of how well the white sox have done.

Tiggers tack on another one in the 7th.

Meanwhile, the Toons just coughed up the lead to the Red Flubs in the top of the ninth. It pains me to root for that team, but our division comes before anything else. :D:

Things are going so good we don't even have people complaining how a Twin's thread was started before the game ended!

Don't look now, but the Twins are getting awfully close to fourth place.

It's great when the Sox have swept their series before the Twinks even play the second game of their series, after losing the first. Must be frustrating for the Twinks going on to lose to the Tigers. Must suck.

Apparently things are different this year. It's the Twinks losing to the Tigers when the team ahead of them is reeling off wins.

Must suck not having AJ and Koskie and Guzman and Mientkewitz (or however that last row of the eyechart goes) and all the other veterans that the Twinks used to win with. No sympathy though.

I agree. I don't feel sorry for the Twins one bit...I'm glad they lost. I hope they keep losing, and I hope the Sox keep winning.

Thanks lip, I was going to make that a direct question for you. So, I'm assuming that was the highest that it got? And if so, whats the most we've been up on the second place team in the division previously?? Much obliged for any stats Lip!

The 1983 White Sox won the Western Division by a then record 20 games. I don't know if that's still a record or not.

The '95 Indians won the division by 30 games. They also won by 21.5 in '99. Comedy central no more...
