Vic correct me if I'm wrong on this. Valenzuela is a corner outfielder, like we don't already have to many outfielders. Olivo will be in the bigs when Sox management realizes that Josh Paul is brutal. Hopefully in 2003 for a more serious answer to your question.

So Reinsdorf helps cause the 94 strike and the baseball Gods say, "Ok White Sox, you're gonna develop lots of talent, but it's all gonna be big power-hitters with no speed or defense and pitchers with weak arm tendons!! Bwahaha!"

Valenzuela was sent to the AFL to showcase his skills for a possible trade before the Sox lose him as a minor league FA.
He plays all three outfeild positions, but is mostly a corner outfeilder.

I suppose he could play CF for Montreal or Minnesota...

He's a corner OF/DH type. He takes some violent hacks up there, doesn't get cheated.

Wasn't Izquierdo one of our guys? Does anybody know how (or why) we let him get away?

I already hate Bobby Hill! I heard Gammons talking about him the other day too. He has a major chubby for him.

WU, if he was with the White Sox Gammons wouldn't say anything.

Bobby Hill...thanks Chairman!

Kelton is actually all the rage down there in Mesa. They say he has "unrivaled hitting mechanics" which is nice.

Some of the Southern League managers rated him the best hitter in the league according to BA. Ahead of Dunn, Beckett, and Phelps.

Josh Fogg is pitching well in Puerto Rico. He went 7 strong last night, 6 hits, 1 run, 6 K's 1 BB.

LMAO JM

Anyone know how old Kyle Kane is? Is he a possible addition to the pitching staff? He's had a great era every time I checked over the summer. I don't know much about him. Was it him or Corwin Malone they were using as a closer in AA?

They used Almonte as they closer, Kane is 24 I believe, and has a plus fastball/plus slider. Valuable setup guy.
