Has there been any word as to what tonight's lineup will be? The Sox are scheduled to face Jeff Weaver, who has a 6-6 record, to go along with a 5.15 ERA. He has also given up fifteen home runs.

There's speculation that Big Frank might sit since Everett has much better numbers against Weaver. But that's it, and again, it's only a theory in the game preview (http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050618&content_id=1094762&vkey=news_cws&fext=.jsp&c_id=cws) on the official site.

I thought about that. Frank is 5-23 against Weaver in his career. Everett is 2-6, so it could happen.

I hope we don't see Ozzie's standard "We've already won two" game 3 lineup.

Surely Ozzie can see last night as a potential springboard to something big. I'm sure he'll go for the kill.

Honestly, at this point, I want to see Frank in the lineup until he has a bad day... He might just be good for a bomb every single game if he's in a groove.

This is the last remnant of the Jerry Manuel Era, the "Getaway Giveaway" Lineup.
You don't have to rest 4 guys at a time.

Manuel should have just forfeited with some of the line-ups he put out there. And it always seemed to be a day when we had the 5th starter on the mound and me in the stands.

I think Ozzie has done a better job of this. The reserves have played better. The pitching has been an enormous difference.

We'll have no more than 1 reserve in the line-up tonight, if that. Ozzie doesn't want to look bad on ESPN.

He wants to win, and I really don't care who is out there, or what we look like either- as long as we win.

I was just going to say that! Ozzie should try mixing those guys in the first 2 games so he doesnt have to do it in the damn sunday games!
We are 4-6 in sunday games

I really hope we see the regulars (or at least 7 of them) in the lineup. I really want this sweep. No need to kill a winning streak now, Ozzie.

Oddly, it makes a lot more sense to rest 4 guys at a time. That way several key timings (double play combo, 1-2 hitters, outfields) don't get crossed. Besides lefty-righty matchups affect who should be playing.

I've never been a huge fan of the lefty/righty matchup game. Instead, I've always favored going with who's swinging the bat well going into each game. If a particular pitcher happens to be much more effective against righties, that's one thing. However, I have noticed several occasions in the past when the Sox went with a lineup that was loaded with right-handed hitters against a left-handed pitcher, and they ended up having a horrible day at the plate.

We'll have to see what Ozzie has decided for this game. There are so many Sox hitters playing well right now that it's difficult to decided who to rest each night.

Is Iguchi dealing with an injury right now? If not, he should be in there.

I don't have a link handy, but I remember reading last week that Iguchi was dealing with a balky lower back and that's why he'd been getting so many days off. Don't know if that's still the case, but that's all I can think of unless Willie owns Weaver or something.

im not going to complain about it either. It's a lot better lineup then the ones we've been accustomed to seeing on the final game of a series.
