This should be a great matchup and hopefully a Padres winner.

I want your predictions. Final score and the line on both of these guys.

Here's how I see it..

Padres 4 - Twins 2

Peavy: 8 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K
Santana: 7 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 10 K

EDIT: Nevermind, Peavy was scratched for some reason. Darrell frickin' May is getting the start. What a let down.

EDIT2: Peavy is pitching Monday against the division-rival Dodgers. I guess that makes sense for THEM. But what about us Bruce Bochey, what about us?!

Twins 10 - Padres 1. Santana will kill the Padres and Darrell May will get slaughtered by the third inning.

maybe we should just let them play the game.

crazy things have a way of happening, like the twins not scoring 10 runs.

And Peavy didn't even start for the Padres. The starter had an ERA over 5.

Santana helped by walking the bases loaded before a 2-out, 3-run double.

Not only that, but, as per cbs.sportsline.com...

Manager Ron Gardenhire of the Twins was ejected from the game in the top of the 7th inning by home plate umpire Kevin Kelley for arguing balls and strikes.

Maybe the pressure of chasing the best team in baseball is getting to him.

Couple that with the fact the Indians are right down their throats and Minnesota is unraveling.

Nice job by Darrell May and the Padres, taking 2 of 3.

Man, somebody better get that "Indians lose" graphic ready at this rate. They are only one back of the fearsome twinkies.

It looks like the holes on the Twins are finally starting to catch up to them a little bit and they are beginning to falter. If the White Sox keep up the good work that they've been doing so far, they can begin running away with this division and hiding, starting tonight. A 7.5 game lead would be considered commanding, even if it is only that big for a short amount of time.

Maybe the pressure of chasing the best team in baseball is getting to him. That had to be done though. If Santana gets half of the calls he usually gets, the Pads may or may not have won.
But not that I'm complainin'.:twinslose

This site was founded in the winter of 1998, after years of Indian divisional domination. We got it covered.

The Twins are not as lucky as the White Sox, even though Peavy was supposed to start today but instead had his start moved to a day later.

Sure, the White Sox have gotten some breaks this year, but the twinks got some breaks when they faced a Maggs-less and Frank-less team last year.
