Ulacia takes the hill for Charlotte. Looks like he's taking the rotation slot vacated by Person.

Honel reportedly starting for B'ham today. :(:

Rodriguez on the bump for W-S.

Charlotte and Louisville engage in one hell of a slugfest!

Charlotte pounds out 23 hits in 10 innings! Louisville had 19!

In the 4th inning, both teams combined to score 15 runs as Charlotte scored 8 in the top and Louisville had 7 in the bottom. Anderson and Borchard bang out homers and both go 3- 6. Wow!

In another offensive explosion, the Barons crush Tennessee 14- 3 in the second game of a doubleheader. Fields and Gonzalez go deep and Rogo had 4 hits.

Why the :(: for Honel starting? Seems like he pitched well.

Honel has not pitched consistently well since 2003. He experienced an unexplained drop in velocity in 2004, and he's got a ways to go to put himself back on the map.

Final score, Knights win 15-13 in 10 innings. Three hits each for Norton, Anderson, Toca, Burke, Borch, and Lopez.

B'ham won Honel's start 6-5. Honel's line: 4.1 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 6 K. Owens doubled twice. Sweeney singled and walked.

As noted above, the Barons raked in the re-start of Tracey's suspended start. Gonzo 3-4, HR, 2 BB, 2 R, 3 RBI, E. Rogo 4-5, 3 R, RBI. Young 1-3, 2 BB, R, SB. Fields 1-3, HR, BB, R, 3 RBI, E.

W-S won 7-2. Vey nice start for Rodriguez: 6 IP, 1 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 4 K. Valido 2-4, BB, 2 R, SB. Collaro with a 3-run HR.

Kanny lost 5-3. Liotta got the loss: 7 IP, 3 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 5 K. Lucy started behind the plate, allowed a PB, and drew the collar. Cook homered again. He now has a 1.073 OPS.

Cook is the same age as Anderson, playing at Low-A. Is there any chance he's awakening as a prospect or is this the case of an organizational player having a big year 'cos he's three years older than the competition? I suppose there's one way to find out, promote him.

The Sox have brought Cook along very slowly. I mentioned in a previous game thread that he really ought to be moved up in the system. He's dominating the Sally League right now.
