The only reason why I asked is because he's tearing the cover off the ball in my MVP Baseball 2005 league.

Last I heard he was hitting the ball real good on rehab assignment in the minors. Anybody have any official word when he's coming back?

As of 5/30 I read that they anticipate Ross will spend another week in Charlotte. So he could be activated during or after the Cleveland series this weekend.

I 100% agree with you gload is a super stud on that game. Seriously he is a HR maching against Lefties and Righties, so much that I bench Big Frank against LHP because the game gives him nothing against them and play gload at 1b and DH Konerko.

Fixed your post. It may be true but it can't be the only reason you are asking about Gload.

He's hitting .345 in his minor league rehab stint with the Knights. On the front page of the official site there is an article that discusses how the Sox may bring him up for interleage play.

i think we need gload badly. hes a proven left-handed power guy off the bench and his glove at first is better than konerkos, and just in case something happens and we need a first baseman, timo just doesnt cut it

I really think some people think GLoad is a little bit better than reality. Granted, he will be a big help when we have him come off the bench, but the production some people are expecting is pretty rediculous. For example, hehas not given the sox any reason to bench Frank and play him against lefties regulalry. Success in the minors does not alswys translate to the same procution in the majors. I think some people's dislike for Konerko makes them inflate Gload's actual talent.

Freddy leads the league in strikeouts in my MVP Baseball league. He has an 5-3 record with a 2.08 ERA.

3 losses? Your offense needs to get this guy some support!

You are correct. For some reason I can't get runs when Garcia is on the mound. One of those losses we lost 1-0. Contreras has gets lots of run support but he's like 3-5 with a ERA over 7.00. If Garcia got Contreras run support he would have been 8-0. That's how this game is. I love this game.

I like Gload okay coming off the bench, but a "proven left-handed power guy"? The guy has a grand total of 9 home runs during his career. Anybody expecting him to come up and supply power better think again.

last year with the sox:.321 avg, .375 obp, .479 slg with 7 hrs, 44 rbis, 16 doubles and 112 total bases with above average defense for a guy coming off the bench? ill take that, especially considering we had timo in there the other night. you cant deny we need gload back in the lineup and he certainly has more power capabilities than timo
