He joins a much improved Tribe squad that finished last season 2 games under .500, but are now just 1 game under .500.

I would say about 3 weeks. I really wonder why Cleveland signed this guy in the first place...

They were hoping to boost their attendance by inviting all of his ex-wives to home games.

"Game Notes
Juan Gonzalez of the Indians left the game in the top of the 1st inning due an apparent hamstring injury."

You guys are sure making light of this considering one of our aging veterans just came off the DL only to tweak something. Luckily for us Thomas won't have to go on the DL.

Explain!

Is it the prophecy about Detroit and the Indians battling for the Central all year?

Juan Gon back

...to the DL. Too bad he couldn't help the tribe mow down the Twins. Worked out that they wouldn't need him.

Whoever said Juan would last for 1 AB wins a bottle of car wax!

Personally, I thought he'd trip over a step on the way out of the dugout. :o:

Thomas also didn't tweak his ankle again. Juan hurt the hammy that sidelined him.

CLEVELAND -- Juan Gonzalez (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=4398)'s latest comeback lasted three pitches. It will be a while before he sees another one. Gonzalez returned to Cleveland for tests after straining his right hamstring Tuesday in Minnesota. The fragile outfielder . . . got hurt in the first inning trying to beat out a slow grounder in his first major league at-bat in over a year. He never made it to first base, turning right, dropping his head and heading directly into the Indians' dugout. It's the same hamstring he hurt at the end of spring training. The Indians said Gonzalez will be placed on the disabled list -- his 12th career trip there.

And to think that last offseason some people said the Sox should sign JuanGone to replace Maggs.

Jim Rome: "Do you think Eric Wedge comes up to Juan, wraps his arms around him and say, 'Hey, great season, Juan. You really smoked that ball to 3rd.'.....Even Darren Dreifort thinks Juan Gonzalez spends too much time on the DL."

That makes making light of this situation better? WOW.

It's not so much making light of the injury as it is being awestruck at Juan Gone's proneness to injury, again and again and again. I mean - one lousy AB between stints on the DL?

That's terrible no doubt and I am glad he will not be hitting against us but from the posts and the quote by jim rome I couldn't help but question what people are thinking.
