Rob Mackowiak is batting .347 with a OB% of .428 for the Pirates, he plays both 3B and LF. He's mainly a singles guy but I think he would be a definite upgrade over the slumping Crede. Rob was born in Oak Lawn and went to South Suburban JC. He has been on the pirates for 4 years so you got to figure it's about time they trade him away before he starts making money. He would at least be a valuable bench player.

I'd love to see Mackowiack on the White Sox roster. He could start occasionally at 3B or outfield. A great guy to have around.

I would like Mackowiak, he's a solid major league Utility Guy and his bat has been improving each year in the majors.

After double checking his career batting stats, he has less run production than Crede. While I like his versatility with the glove [OF, 3B, 2B] and his left-handed bat, he [apparently] can't spell Uribe at SS which is where we're thinnest in the field... hmmmmm, no thanks.

He has good power. I would like a left handed hitter with some power.

I think this would be a great AND feasible move. Give them Borchard, Cotts and a mid level and we can get it done.

He also grew up a Sox fan.

The Pirates are haunted by trading away great guys for nothing (Lofton/Ramirez for Bobby Hill:?: ) so they might overcharge for a guy like Mackowiak.

He's obviously having a good year for the Bucs, and doesn't have a hefty contract. So I can't see any incentive for them to dump Mackowiak for loose change or a handful of magic beans like they did with Ramirez.

Man that was funny. Maybe we could give them Josh Fields for Mackowiak. Fields is a very similar player to Joe Borchard and maybe we can get something for him before everbody else realizes it.

Have we covered all the third basemen who currently aren't in a White Sox uniform yet? if not how many more do we have to go before these "great Ideas" end?

Why don't we call up Greg Norton from AAA, or perhaps we can coax Chris Snopek out of retirement?
