Sorry if this was already shared, but does anyone know which hotel the Sox will stay at while in San Diego?

For those coming out for the Sox-Padres series in need of eats and drinks location suggestions, feel free to PM me or ask here.

Thanks.

If I was GM, the Sox would be staying there. "Modest accommodations builds championships."

I'm heading down to Zoo-town to catch Friday nights game. Got my tix on-line and will be sitting upper deck, 1st base side. SOUTH SIDE on the back of my home white Sox jesey. I'm looking to find a cool place to hang before/after the game. Any suggestions? Thanks

Here are some places that are either in walking distance or short cab rides to Petco:

Tivoli Bar (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=92565)
506 6th Ave, San Diego
(619) 232-6754
Very close to the park, but jammed before and after games. Inexpensive.

Dublin Square (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=185596)
554 Fourth Ave., San Diego
(619) 239-5818
The Field Irish Pub & Restaurant (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=86823)
544 Fifth Ave., San Diego
(619) 232-9840
Two good Irish bars with good food.

Gaslamp Strip Club (A Steak Place) (http://www.gaslampstripclub.signonsandiego.com/) (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=249060) (http://www.gaslampstripclub.signonsandiego.com/)
340 5th Ave, San Diego
(619) 231-3140
Grill your own steak. Very reasonable prices for the Gas Lamp area and more casual dress code than the other restaurants.

Fred's Mexican Cafe in the Gaslamp (http://www.fredsgaslamp.signonsandiego.com/) (http://www.fredsgaslamp.signonsandiego.com/)
527 5th Ave., San Diego
(619) 232 8226
Casual bar/restaurant with good Mexican food.

Maloney's Tavern (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=241670)
511 F St, San Diego
(619) 232-6000
Not much of a "scene" but a good place to grab a good, quick meal.

Patrick's II (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile?id=87876)
428 F St., San Diego
(619) 233-3077
Small bar that usually has a good Blues or Rock band playing with no cover. Gets crowded, but you can find a spot. Their June calendar is not posted yet, so I cannot reccomend the band, but it is worth checking out.

Chuey's Restaurant & Cantina (http://entertainment.signonsandiego.com/profile/111755)
1901 Main St., San Diego
(619) 234-6937
Great Mexican food. Area of town is a little sketchy, but improving. Possibly a good place to start before the game.

There are over 100 bars and restaurants in and near the Gas Lamp. I did not include any of the Disco Clubs like "On Broadway, Onyx, Side Bar," but if that is your thing, you will be able to spot the scene by all the people queued up waiting for club entry.

The heart of the Gas Lamp is near 5th Ave and F and sprawls out in the area covering 4th through 6th between Broadway and K. Your best bet may be to find a pay lot in the South Gas Lamp, have dinner and drinks, take a pedi cab to the game and then walk or cab back to Gas Lamp after the Sox winner.

Hope this helps.

This is a little of topic but I visited San Diego in March and loved it. I went with my family and took a Ballpark tour of Petco Park. I was wearing a White Sox jersey during the tour. Throughout the tour the guide made fun of the White Sox by saying stuff like what a bad team and what a bad division etc. and etc. The guy was joking around but it was still kind of annoying. Anyways I hope he feels humbled after the White Sox beat up on the Padrees June 10th through the 12th. To all of those going to the game have a blast San Diego is a beautiful city and the White Sox vs. Padrees should be a great baseball series.

That would be the Omni, right? That's a fantastic hotel.
