Even if this dubious assumption is true, at least they don't lose to the worst team in baseball. (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=250526116)

So the Cubs lose two in a row at home to the worst teams in the NL while the Sox win two in a row on the road against one of the top teams in the AL. Where's that "Cubbie fire" I heard so much about at the beginning of the week?

"Which is why I called them 'the biggest overachievers in baseball'. Damned if you do, damned if you don't; sorry, Smut Sox fans."

My lone regret about this game is that I'm at work and was unable to listen to Santo call the game. I'm sure it was a masterpiece.

Does anyone else find it Ironic that the Rockies win total was a BAKERS DOZEN before today... Look out St. Louis!

Let's see...........all morning the Snore and ESPN 1000 said the Flubs must, MUST, sweep the Rockies in order to remain credible for the post season.

However, I caution with a heavy hand to not gloat until June 9th after we have played the Rockies. No need to rock the Karma.....

Arron Miles was placed on the DL today... NO SOX FOR HIM! I hope they send Helton back with us when we leave!

But it's not even close to true. Sox are 13-5 vs. teams with winning records this year.

what's up with preston wilson. I noticed in that boxscore that he's hitting .246! How does a guy with his talent hit .246 IN COLORADO??

If the Sox win tonight, they'll knock the Angels clean outa first place. Go Sox!

I love how people say we never face winning teams. Before the Angels series the promos were always "First Place Angels vs. First place Sox". Sox take a few games from the Angels and now they are promoting the Rangers series as "First place Sox vs. First place Rangers".

I think Showalter better be thanking Ozzie for beating the angels a couple times and making that promo possible.

Probably what these idiots mean is we haven't faced the Yankees and Red Sox. After all, the world does revolve around those two teams and the Cubs.
