Could someone please advise the name of the player that was the model for the logo? Was it Brooks Robinson or Harmon Killebrew?

The MLB logo:
No one player has ever been identified as the model of the 1969 Major League Baseball batter logo.

Wow. I always thought it was Killebrew as well. I heard that from somewhere. Oh well, at least now I know.

I remember as a kid being told (by Jack Brickhouse?) it was Jerry West for the NBA logo and Pete Rose for MLB. Of course how credible a source is Jack Brickhouse?

As Fenway cites, MLB claims no single ballplayer modeled the logo. Of course do any of us honestly expect MLB to tell the truth if it truly was Pete Rose?
