Koskie, in the lineup as the Blue Jays' designated hitter, was hurt sliding into second base in the second inning. The native of Anola, Man., was taken to a hospital for X-rays, which revealed the fracture.

Koskie singled and tagged up on a fly out to centre field by Vernon Wells in the second inning, but Torii Hunter threw him out trying to advance. Koskie collided with second baseman Luis Rivas as he slid into the bag.

Sad to hear. I know Koskie always kill us, but it's a shame to see him go out for that long. Not too mention Toronto is the only team I really respect out there in the al least. :o:

Good ball player but way too injury-prone. Probably factored into the Twinkies decision to pinch pennies with him last winter.
