...Sox fans count down the magic number. Flub fans count down the number of days until next year.

That sounds like something off of a T-shirt. I would suggest this (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=50016) thread.

This is very true. A few years ago, the Cubs were in first place in June, and their fans were afraid to make a trade because they worried about the future. It is always next year for the Cubs. They wouldn't know what to do with a championship if they won one.

Cubs fans feel the need to throw things on the field when their team is losing late in a game.

The biggest difference between Sox fans and Cubs fans is the Cubs fans' strong sense of entitlement. Somehow they think they "deserve a championship" more than other fans. As if drinking beer and throwing things at opposing players entitles one to a championship.....

A little stupid/funny thought crossed my mind today at work. We know Sox fans are your "blue-collar" types, and Cub fans are the "white-collar" people. Well I work in a warehouse doing summer help, and the 2 guys helping in the records room (in other words, they sit at a computer) are Cub fans. Me and the guy who work in back are Sox fans. Just a little reinforcement of the stereotype.

Yeah, that pissed me off when I saw these doods throwing things at Dye when he was making a catch. Wonder if the Cubune or Moronetti will comment on that.
