I just bought tickets, but have no idea how they will be delivered to me or if I have to pick them up.

You can get really nice individual seats, and pairs are still available.

Too bad I hate going to the Urinal.

but - I thought Wrigley sold out all its games two weeks before the Season started...

Seriously though, I envy you guys who can get hold of tix, and make sure you show your Sox Pride for the rest of us.

Damn. Why do their Friday games start at 1:20 instead of 2:20? For me that's the difference between a half day of work or a full day off.

I'm almost positive they used to start at 2:20, but they changed it as part of the agreement to get more night games.

I'll be in section 512 tomorrow, but just tried cubs.com and was able to pull up two tickets in section 517 row 4. I used the trick IlliniSox said and just hit Best Available a 2nd time after it first said nothing available.

LET'S GO SOX!!!!!!

Will Call means you pick them up at the stadium.

Do I have to pick them up at any specific place or do I go to the box office or what?

Thanks

cubhater
05-19-2005, 05:09 PM
It's a chance but what the hell, you guys may also want to try the box office early in the morning the day of the game. I got bleacher tix that way a couple years ago. No $$$$ fees either!

Then of course don't forget about that 'premium' ticket office just west of the Urinal.

I'm not sure exactly how it works at Wrigley, but I'm sure there will be ticket windows that say "Will Call" over them. Go to one of those.

It will probably be about 70-75% Cub fans if not higher, since their season ticket base is so large. But, there are always vocal Sox fans throughout the park.

I just checked out of curiosity and I could've still gotten 2 (and would've if I could go). Unfortunately though, I can't, which sucks. :(: WHY I have to go to be my stupid H.S. graduation tomorrow night?! I mean, I get another one in 4 years (or so) anyways.

I'm not able to make this work. All I want is a single ticket. I tried clicking on the little t box on both Cubs and Sox website and it wouldn't bring me to ticketmaster. Then I tried to go to ticketmaster.com and go the long way and the date isn't listed. How are you guys doing this?

Unfortunately I'll have to listen in from work. I wanted to take the day off, but too much work...

Even if there's just a few of you proud Sox fans in attendance, make as much NOISE as possible. I'll want to hear you loud on the radio!

Ahhh...does that facilitate illegally distributing their own tickets to brokers and then skimming off the top?

When I use this tickets.com thing I get all the way to them showing me what ticket is available, then when I click to continue and go through payment and stuff it just takes me to an "internet optimizer" page or something like that as if the page doesn't exist. I'm starting to get annoyed.

I got tixs for the upper deck this afternoon too. We might be able to take over the upper deck for tomorrow's game. After all, the Cubs fans aren't gonna show up until at least the 3rd inning anyways.

I hate tickets.com with a passion. The Red Sox have used them from Day 1 ( they never used Ticketmaster ) and they have this thing called the Virtual Waiting Room when demand is high that must cause thousands of monitors to be smashed.

Don't worry this Boston guy will be rooting for Chicago tomorrow

That sucks, did you buy them through a ticket agency or through the Cubs? Do they actually take the price down to get rid of these extra tiks? I thought $17 was awfully cheap for anywhere but standing room. Cheapest seat in the house for the Sox/Cubs at the cell is like $28.

I've been trying from cubs.com, with no luck. They must be "officially" sold out again. I'm looking at craigslist too, and the scaplers' have a TON of tickets for sale. I'd love to try to catch the game on Sunday, but I think I'll take my chances out in front of the ballpark on Sunday afternoon.

Still haven't figured out which "Sox" you are the bigger fan of, but have seen many rational posts by you regarding Chicago, so I'm guessing it's Red first, White second?

I'll be in 512 row 2. Feel free to say hello. I'll be the only Sox fan of the six of the people going who invited me.
