Borchard went 1/3 with two walks and a solo shot yesterday, while Big Frank went 1/5 with two strikeouts. I have a feeling that Borchard pulled a Freaky Friday/Summer Switch/Like Father like Son/Vice Versa like switcharoony and stole Big Frank's talent. With a little luck, Frank will return back to his old self and Borchard will resume sucking for the rest of the season tonight.

With a little more luck, Borchard will talk to Frank in between at bats, and come to the realization that he needs to do something different. Then he will start to hit like he was projected to hit when he was drafted - all because Frank went on a rehab assignment.

Then Frank will come back to the Sox and help carry them to a Pennant and beyond...:bandance::gulp:

Hope it was a permanent switch. I'll take another 15 years of Frank-like production out of Joe if ture, LOL! :redneck

I am astounded that people now seem to want Joe Borchard to fail.

Its not that I want him to fail, but he wears it well. If Borchard turns the corner and plays like we all have expected of him for soooooooo many years, I will be the first to stand up and applaud.

Nobody wants him to fail, hell if he was hitting the way he was supposed to the Sox wouldn't have gone out to get Jermaine Dye and Carl Everett and even before that, throw a dump truck full of cash at Maggs. Lucky for us that Maggs turned it down.

Nobody wants to see Joe Borchard fail, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of posters here have come to the conclusion that Borchard will never contribute to the Sox on the MLB level, let alone what he was projected to contribute.

Exactly. My expectaitions of the guy have gone donhill the last couple of years.

So much for the 5-tool player with all the potential in the world who just needs more time to play baseball.
