For Friday's game against Detroit, the designated hitter batted eighth. And the DH was Willie Harris, who had exactly one RBI and hadn't played in a game since April 30.Linky (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/cs-050513soxbits,1,4526891.story?coll=cs-home-headlines)
Why were the Tigers dressed up in Orioles uniforms?

I think he also said that the Sox are currently 29-7.

While we are at it

In his game story he mentions an umpire investigation of the pitchers mound after the game but gives no other details

DON'T THEY HAVE EDITORS AT THAT PAPER????

Actually, the Sox were both lucky and good as they beat the Orioles 5-3 and increased their lead over Minnesota to six games in the American League Central in front of an amazed crowd of 28,188 at U.S. Cellular Field in a game that included the Sox surviving an umpires' postgame inspection of the height of the pitcher's mound.

What was this all about????

What was this all about???? They measured the distance of the mound after the game, it was being talked about by farmer and rooney or hawk and dj in one of the postgames. Whoever it was was laughing saying either way both sides pitched from the same mound lol.
