Interesting - '17 Sox and '83 Sox are the 2 Sox teams in there.
1919 Sox are "on the bubble" whatever that means. It's like March Madness except with baseball and in November.

That means that they were consider to be placed among the 64 but do to certain criteria they were left off.


I wonder if they will be using a juiced ball during the tournament?

Interesting that the '06 cubs are a #1 seed, yet the '06 Sox aren't in the tournament. Seedings seem to favor the majority favorites (yanks, cubs, cards). Sometimes I can't stand ESPN.

I agree, but this isn't an ESPN thing. It's a MLB thing.

How can the 83 sox be considered one of the best 64 teams of all time when they got bounced out in the first round??

no-- you gotta read the technical stuff on how they picked teams....... must have all 30 teams represented, can't have 2 teams that were in the same "dynasty," certain amt. of teams from each decade, etc.

that's why there's a LOT of good teams left off...this is not the 30 greatest teams.

If it wasn't for the damn strike,the 94 White Sox would have been listed.They had one hell of a team that year.White Sox-Expos 94 World Series?
