Tony and Wilbon will be debating the chances of Garland getting 20 wins in about 2 minutes on ESPN.

Tony is saying under 20 wins. Says nothing in Garland's last three seasons shows he can get to 20.

Wilbon says 23 wins and that players can make the jump.

Myself? I give JG 22 wins.

Over the past 3 years, Jon's won an average of 12/33 starts (36%).

If he regresses to that level from here on out, assuming he gets 33 starts total in 2005, he'd get 9-10 wins, which would put him at 16-17 total on the year.

Anything better than that and he's going to come very close to 20. 20 is a fairly safe bet unless Jon falls off the table.

Wilbon also had a great comment saying that just because his name isn't Johnson or Clemens and isn't on the Yankees or Sawx, that doesn't mean a pitcher can't be good.

Jon's going to be pitching with a ton of leads. Our 5 guy is a Cy Young candidate, for God's sake! It's easy to pitch and win if you have leads. Anything less than 18 wins would confound me.

The only thing about Garland that will be falling off the table is his curveball. :redneck

PTI and Around The Horn suck so much, they talk about the same topics just in different order (and not that different of an order), and instead of 4 guys yelling about it, they have 2. Talk about needing more original shows...

Although Wilbon made some points on this, somehow during the last few months, Kornheiser became the more logical of the two...I never thought i'd see the day

Everyone rips up this show... I like it. Tony K was playing Devil's advocate. He always does that. When Wilbon goes with a side, Kornheiser takes the other. It's just for show. How boring would the show be if they just agreed with each other on every topic. Maybe I'm just crazy... but I like PTI.
