from today's Sun-Times:

Word is that Thomas is 100% ready. Jerry Manuel says "If spring training were starting tomorrow, he would be ready to go." He took swings, did push-ups, etc. That's encouraging news.

Speaking about Parque, Osuna, Wunsch, and Barcelo, along w/ Thomas, Manuel said that they were so far ahead of schedule in their rehab that there wouldn't be any worry about their readiness come spring. More good news.

Of course, there's bad news, and that's that there was talk from Manuel that they haven't abandoned the Canseco idea. Don't get me wrong, I liked having him on the Sox, but he doesn't fit when Thomas is healthy unless Konerko is gone. It would seem that there's some other needs they could be addressing besides that one.

But if they go to 27 players, there is room.

Doesn't matter how many can be in the dugout, they can still only put 9 on the field...

You're right, is Konerko on the trading block?
