I am beginning to wonder if Mr Sosa will be at The Cell this weekend

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Sammy Sosa visited a specialist Tuesday to get another opinion on his ailing left foot, an injury that has forced him to miss five consecutive games.

He may have described himself as a Gladiator but he's a big chicken too. I doubt we'll see him.

Classic... but that probably will hurt ticket sales a bit over the weekend, but still less Scruby fans at the Cell.

Only fans of the Blue Ursine would give a s***,whether or not Soso plays for the O's. If he doesn't, towards whom will they have to vent their collective spleens? Perhaps the Blue Menace just won't show up, after buying all those tix, Ahhhhh!

Plenty of Sox fans will be in attendance.

Good deal. i heard for some jag people i know that planned on tossing cork at him in thr 7th and getting kicked out. Obviously these people were cubs fans so it's a good thing that we wont have to deal with that garbage.

This is the same guy who wore earplugs when the Cubs came to the cell in 2003.

Could this be :bs:

Those White Sox fans, and Cubs fans alike, waiting to present Sammy Sosa with their warmest collective welcome back to Chicago this weekend at U.S. Cellular Field, will have to hope for both the Orioles and South Siders to make the postseason in order to have that opportunity.
Sosa, who played for the Cubs during the past 13 years before an acrimonious parting of the waves after the 2004 season, was placed on the disabled list on Tuesday night with a painful lesion on his left foot. The slugging right fielder will not participate in the four-game set and will not make the trip to Chicago, the Orioles' only excursion to the Windy City this season.

The Cubs fans who came in to see Sammy will be in for a big surprise when BJ Surhoff or Jay Gibbons are patrolling right field and not Sosa.

"Hey who is that in Right Field? It looks a lot like Sammy. BOOOOOO!"

:astutesoxfan
"Hey idiot! That's not Scammy! That's All Star Right Fielder BJ Surhoff"

:cubsfanswhocametoseescammy
"Oh, well let's try some of those churro things. Ooh these are good. I wish they'd serve these at Wrigley."
