I hope he does well as he was always a class act.

I hope he has a good time in NY, and hope he can succeed in whatever he does. Just so long as he doesn't manage on the South Side again.

Yeah, Jerry seemed great as a person, but as a manager....

Just curious, but who actually created the "teal police" icon? I love it.

I'm assuming the reporter had to wake Gandhi up on the bench, to get him to do the interview.

He could come off as a great person, but the players he stabbed in the back in the local media ---- like Frank Thomas for instance ---- may think otherwise

I always liked Manuel- he seems like a good, intelligent guy and he makes a great bench coach or 3rd/1st base coach. But he is just NOT a good leader/motivator/strategist and thus is a bad manager.

Just thinking about Manuel makes me wanna hurl. Ozzie won 83 games last year with the same team as JM minus Frank and Queen Magglio.

Ghandi is such an appropriate nickname for him! He is amazing. Maybe he should be a spiritual guru instead of a baseball manager.

Reminds me of the Sox commerical last year when they are saying "what's different" and running thru the same lineup, player by player, then announce Ozzie Guillen as manager and the voice says something like "what's different? Everything!" I loved that ad.

I think when Jerry first got here and for his first few years here he was the right guy for the team. He showed himself to be pretty good at developing the young talent to a point where they could win. I think after they did finally win some games he lost some control and just plateaued. He'll get another managerial shot someday and maybe he'll have learned something from his time here and be able to take it to the extra step.
