Kenny Williams is scheduled to be on WSCR's "Hit & Run" Sunday morning baseball show with George Ofman and Jesse Rogers. I believe KW is to be on after the 9:00 a.m. update.
KW just said he was out drinking cocktails with Ozzie and Joey last night.
He sounds coherent but a bit horse.
Talking about grinders.
KW said somebody outside of the organization spoke up on AJ's behalf and that opened his eyes to re-considering Peirzinski.
KW admitted he bought into all the hype and bs about AJ until he interviewed him personally.
More guys speak English then they lead on to.
happy with Iguichi's team play, not looking at his stats as a weather vane but how he helps the team.
KW said he was a bit puzzled by reading how he had no second baseman, ss, catcher or left fielder.
He said he had to discount the early consensus from the media.
KW talked about the trade with Milwaukee for Pods and Vizcaino as something the team needed to do.
Brooks made sure to have the Score mention Sleep over Night.
Leave ozzie alone let him do his job.
wouldn't trade Ozzie's honesty for anything.
Ozzie re-acted to Maggs.
Frank is getting closer and closer each day, needs to go down to get batting eye.
Likes infield depth.
Scouting potential players for a trade as we speak.
Will be MORE protective with the current players down on the farm, they are the future.
Need to EARN the attention from the national media.
has come up short the last few years.
Talking in hotel bar last night they all agreed the team has to earn the respect to get the attention from the local and national media.
The to biggest points I think KW made were that the infield depth is very solid and it was the combination of injuries all occurring at the same time was the problem. Sounds like Ozuna and Harris are very secure in KW's plan for reserve infielders.
Also KW said he wants to be VERY protective of his minor leaguers. Saying that they are they are going to be a part of the future. Mentioned economics a bit and how they want to mold the teams future from within.

Just adding to the great chance the Sox move to the Score. It seems like someone high up in the Sox organization is on the Score every other day
