No tickets for the garage sale. You do need a ticket to get on the field ($20 each I believe). The garage sale is held in the Patio Party area. Bring lots of cash because the good stuff is expensive.

I'll be there. Look for me in an authentic Walter Payton jersey.

I got home from the Catch on the Field portion of the day around noon. I met up with a couple of friends, Ken aka Soxwon and Soxfan Rosie and her 12 year old niece Chrissy (Who has a terrific arm BTW, she can throw harder and straighter than both myself and Soxwon...LOL)

We played catch in the OF and visitor's bullpen, posed for pics all over the field, in the dugouts, bullpens, home plate area etc... and just had a great time in general.

My favorite moment happened while I was playing catch in RF with Rosie's neice Chrissy. The new mascot Southpaw started ambling over toward us, and I threw my arms out and ran toward him as if in slo-motion like two starry eyed lovers do in the movies.

Southpaw then proceeded to high five me, so I tossed him the ball we were playing catch with. He missed the ball, and we both bent over to pick it up at the same time, and purposely butted heads and we both fell.

Then Southpaw proceeded to "wail" on me for awhile (all in fun) and then playfully roughhoused with me and ate my Sox cap. It was funny stuff to watch. :D:

Update: (I went there around 12:10)

I purchased the following:
-- 1x Antonio Osuna authentic jersey
-- 1x Esteban Loaiza autographed baseball
-- 2x Jerry Manuel autographed baseball (gag gift for friends)
-- 1x 2003 All-Star logo polo shirt

I almost bought a Timo Perez game-used bat; I think I will regret passing that up.

I didn't see the Timo bat. How much was the price tag?

We got there around 12:15...there were about 5 or 6 Caballo jerseys still left, all for $300. I picked up the '03 All-Star Game program w/ Esty for $1, and the little lady got the Sox wives' cookbook.

MLB.com this winter. Not sure if it is still available though. Nike makes it, and it's got a Cooperstown Collection patch on the bottom.

Wouldn't that actually be the bleachers? At least, that's where a lot of his pitches seemed to end up...

Had a great time on the field playing catch with the little ones. But, all they wanted to do was talk on the bullpen/dugout phones. Go Figure.
Was kinda disappointed at the yard sale. Then again, it was my first time being at one, so maybe I was expecting more. The people working the event said there was alot of good stuff early in the morning and we didn't get there til around noon. Oh well, there's always SoxFest '06!

I got there for the 9:30 session and went to the garage sale at about 10:15 when the line wasn't too long. I expected more stuff, too. I ended up buying a hat. Going on the field was great, though. My first time on the field and my daughter had a blast running around.

I really wanted a Majestic short sleeve trainer's jacket from the past two seasons. I have a 2005 model in short sleeve...the gray one with the black accents. Ozzie wears one often during postgame press conferences.

They had some lifts up there. They may have been putting up some lighting or sound equipment.

Yeah - that's true. I got 2 BP jerseys with high numbers and one black sleved alternate jersey (#39, Rivera - Who's that?) all for $50 each.

Best buy in the place was "Nancy Faust's Favorites" on cassette tape for $2.00!

I saw those. They had a giant can full of them. I suppose they were only for kids the original time they were handed out?

One of the Sox staff went and got an unopened case for me. The Box was no bigger than that for a 20 inch tv. Much lighter too.
