I can't field my position to save my life, but I can get a hit when it counts.

He can call a game too, until proven otherwise.

A Sox catcher hasn't called a game since Fisk wore the tools of ignorance.

AJ calls pitches, with help from the dugout.

If AJ isn't hitting--and well--he isn't worth the proverbial bag o' balls. Let this be the start of something for him.

I don't know, Aj seems to keep our headcases in check. Anytime someone slips a little, he goes out and gives them an earful. I like the way he handles the pitchers, and I don't think its a coincidence people have started throwing quicker/better games with he and Widger behind the plate.

Garland has gotten out of the big inning all season, whenever AJ runs out and wakes him up. I think the pitchers trust him, listen to him, and that helps them speed up their rhythm and gain confidence. Even if 50% of the pitches are coming from the dugout, AJ has brought something to our pitching staff that wasn't there last season with Burke or Davis. Less shake-offs, more strikes.

Can I nominate a Reverse PTC?

:timo:

Or do we call that a Pick To Clunk? If I didn't know better, I'd swear the Jays were paying him to throw the game.

But, all's forgiven when the Sox win!

Can I nominate a Reverse PTC? No, but you can take your medication (Lithium) and report back for duty tomorrow.

I'm fresh out of the big L, but will this stuff tide me over for another day?
