Sun-Times has a cool article about how this team resembles the '59 Sox in the way that they've been winning games (from them comes the nickname).

Cool article, check it out.

Ozzie says: "I hope from now on, people will think of us as the Go-Go White Sox. We'll see this summer."

I kinda like the term!

I think "Nothingball" is about to be coined on this team. After yesterday I can't argue with it.

WOW I hope the papers don't tag them with "Nothingball". Just another chance to belittle our club.

BRING BACK THE GO-GO'S!

With respect to Joe Goddard this club reminds me more of the 1990 team then the 1959 club.

Speaking of 1959 though:

Check out the stats! Only ONE guy hit over .300 for the season! LOL. Yep, sure does sound familiar...

Yep. If you go over the stats, two things stick out so far. This year's rotation is better and so is the lineup.

The rotation then was pretty good and don't forget there wasn't a designated hitter either. The defense was spectacular. Lollar, Aparicio, Fox, and Landis were about the best up the middle defense in baseball. The outfield was very fast also with Rivera and Smith. We never had the power to match the Yankees.

The caption on the picture identified the White Sox pennant clinching date
as Sept. 21, 1959. OOOPPPS!!! It was actually September 22! I saw that
and almost called them and went Hangar on their asses.
