Lots of extra-innings games lately.

W-S lost 5-4 in the 11th. Haeger got the start (8 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 3 BB, 8 K). Castro came on in relief and was cruising along until his 3rd inning of work, when he gave up the game-winning HR. (I guess the pen was tapped out after yesterday's 16-inning debacle, but Castro also pitched on Monday and Tuesday.) Valido was 2-for-6. Nanita was 3-for-4 with a 3-run HR, a BB, and 2 runs scored. It seems like he fares better down in the lineup.

Nice work, Brandon! Smith picks up his 1st save. Anderson and Biko both reached twice. Former cub Rosie Brown made his Charlotte debut.

B'ham was off.

Kanny won 7-3. Egbert gots the start and the win (6.1 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 3 K + a pickoff). Zaleski pitched a scoreless 9th, lowering his ERA to 1.76. Hernandez and Castillo homered. Castillo also doubled and walked. Hansen was 2-for-5 with 2 RBI. Delossantos was 1-for-3 with 2 BB (!) and scored twice.

That is very promising BMAC. Nice job.

If the Big Club's starting pitchers continue to dominate is it possible they would add bmac to the roster for the post season as a long reliever?

I don't think you put him in that situation. If we make the playoff's, Contreras will probably move the pen to be a long reliever or just another power RH pitcher.

Gotta love 8 innings, 10 K's and 1 walk. There is not really a reason to be concerned about the few bad outings he's had recently.
