McCarthy's final line:

6.2 4 ER 4 hits 11 K's and 2 BBs with 2 HRs allowed

Sounds like he's going to have problems with the long ball because of his style, but you still gotta like those 11 K's and only 2 walks.

Not to bad considering he gave up 2 ER in the first.

Keep it up BMac.

He's been placed on the DL and somehow he is only scheduled to miss one start.

According to the box score, the wind was blowing straight out to LF at 12 MPH. I suspect this contributed to the power display, since the Knights hit 5 HR! While Durham hit 3 HR in the game, they also K'ed 18 times!

Malone actually was pretty solid, especially when you consider it was his first start is a damn long time. 3 IP, 0 ER (2 unearned runs), 3 H, 0 BB, 2 K.

Schnurstein reached 3 times and drove in 2 for the 'Hogs. Miller was lights-out in relief: 3 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 5 K!

Kanny's pen backed up Hansen with 3 scoreless innings.
