Who is coming with me to brave the weather and welcome back our boys from a great road trip! I'll be in box 147 row 6 seats 1 & 2 (well, not in both seats). If I don't have my jacket on, I will be wearing a road gray Podsednik jersey (I don't think there are too many of them). Anyone want to meet for a beverage?

PH13

p.s. I can't leave until 4 today, so I was thinking about my route from Milwaukee to the park. Do you guys think I should try 94 all the way, take 294 to 55, or take 94 and then hop on to LSD? Thanks!

41 can risky from what I hear because the trucks don't want to pay the much higher tolls on 94 that went into effect this year, so they take 41 and jam it up.......

Listen to WBBM (780 AM), they give traffic on the 8's.

You might be ok on 94 until you hit downtown Chicago, by then you are pretty close to Heaven (Comiskey) and can hop off and take it to the streets.

Enjoy the game, I'll be there tomorrow!:D:

Thanks!I'd think that if you're leaving at 4pm, by the time you reach the city the traffic will have died down quite a bit. The I-294 to I-55 route is definately a no-go. If it were me, I'd just ride I-94 all the way. Three hours should be plenty.

As always, I'll be viewing the game from deep within my underground laboratory, in a comfy chair, oblivious to the screams issuing from the cages of my "experiments" nearby.

I"ll be there tonight. How early can you park? I want to leave the western burbs, and avoid a lot of the rush hour traffic on 55, so I was planning on leaving around 3:30.

Like the Jackson 5, I'll be there. I'm somewhere in the outfield, but not the bleachers. I'll be there with a lot of NIU people: this is a organized trip for a wing in the dorms plus a few people from my wing. Should be a good time.

I'm guessing dress warm? I hear it's going to be pretty chilly, but oh well. It's still baseball.

They actually open up one lot (I think it is A) in morning for people to park their cars on the way to work downtown, take the train to work and have the car in place for the game.

Generally speaking, you can park 2 hours before the game starts.

Sec 103, Row 3. I'll be there in my Frank Thomas Auburn jersey.

Weather looks like it may cooperate. Low 41, which I can handle. Light rain early (which I take it to mean may or may not hit us) with showers overnight (which I take it to mean like 11PM-on).

Either way, I've had Thunderstruck in my head all morning and I am ready to rock.

Will be there tonight (UD on the 1st base side) and Sunday (LD on the 3rd base side). I usually get there before 6:00 when I'm coming straight from work, but I may find somewhere warm to hang out and show up closer to game time. I hear the holding cell is warm...

Man, I brought it up to my wife today on her lunch break and she thought about it but we both agreed it would be to chilly for our 17 month old daughter. Plus, we wouldn't be able to get there until about game time and batting practice is half the fun for me. Maybe next series...

I, like others in this thread, will be watching from the comfort of my couch. But I am bringing my wife to the game tomorrow, as I continue my slow, steady conversion of her from Cubs to Sox fan. Growing up in Arlington Hts, she has a little bit of northsider in there, but we've got the minnie package this year, plus already going at least to another game, she'll see the light soon enough. Especially when she keeps learnign more about baseball at Sox games rather than just drinking at Cubs games.

Need to read up on that thread on parking. First time parking this year (took L on Opening Day) and I've had problems in the past.

Good luck tonight all!

I've had it on my phone for a long time. "Kiss him goodbye" is the title of the song.

Thank GOD they brought back "Thunderstruck" as the Sox theme.

When they changed it at the opener to "Right Now" by VH (a moldy obvious choice), I was mortified.

Phew.

AC/DC is the perfect, PERFECT band for Sox fans. Representin', y'all!

I made it, but not until after the first out of the game. Traffic on the Stevenson was horrendous! We ended up bailing out at Lemont road and took Archer Ave. the rest of the way in.

We're going to Peoria tomorrow for a Cougars game there, but I'll be back at The Cell Sunday.

We spent the last inning in the booth with Nancy after Jeff's back stiffened up, so we got to see the Takatsu blow the game from the best vantage point in the house.

Was up in the Fan Deck the entire game. First time up there, it's a great view.

Someone needs to teach Konerko how to take a lead off. I know he is slow, but he doesn't even step off of 1st until the pitcher is moving towards home. He is barely 2 steps off of 1st when the catcher gets the ball. It's pathetic.

It was so cold. Plus the loss didn't make things any better.

Isn't it "Role Call?"

No.

Main Entry: roll call
Function: noun
: the act or an instance of calling off a list of names (as for checking attendance); specifically : an act or instance of calling the roll of a legislative body to determine if there is a quorum or to vote on a matter
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary of Law, 1996 Merriam-Webster, Inc.

Don't question a teacher about "roll call"!

Keep buying those tickets gang! Gotta support Nancy if you want to hear more of her during the game!
