They believe in Garland.

I love this one:
14. Chicago Cubs (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=chc): Had enough of Dusty Baker? For just $8.95 a year, you can create your own website: We suggest, firedusty.com.
Can't believe they are 14, but I like the comment.

Yeah, that's awesome...just a matter of time before their love for Dusty turns to hate.

"24. Cleveland Indians (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=cle): The Tribe is batting a woeful .232 as a team with an atrocious .301 on-base percentage. Yes, it's been an ugly April."
I thought the Indians were going to be in 2nd place thanks to their explosive batting.

They must have made their rankings prior to the last 2 games. The Sox didn't look like a #1 team in Oakland.

It's hard for 9 guys to beat 13.

It's real nice that we're getting the pub and I'm enjoying it, but truthfully these are the same boneheads that were picking the rankings for the past 4 weeks. Props to Garland but the biggest reason we're 16-6 is the entire pitching staff, not any one guy. For me, the national media still doesn't get it.

That's for sure. I think the only way to make them realize is for the Sox to keep winning.

Agreed. If the rankings were made today, I wouldn't be surprised if St. Louis or Baltimore moved into first. These rankings are so volatile at this point that a case could probably be made for any of the division leaders (though LAA would be tough with 9 losses). Nice to get the #1 at this point, though I would have preferred to be #3 and have won one of the last two games.

These rankings are stupid. There's only one power ranking that means anything. It's called the standings. Everything else is just some sportwriter pretending that he actually knows something.

Wow, I can't remember the last time we were ranked number 1 on one of these rankings. This is going to be an interesting season.

I couldn't agree more. Why do so many fans care about what the media thinks of the Sox? It's all about the wins and losses.

I think we were ranked #1 last year at some point.
