Bill Madden: Having gotten his Chicago White Sox off to their best start since 1935, Ozzie Guillen is apparently intent on taking no prisoners. No White Sox, past or present, appear to be immune to Ozzie's invective, as Magglio Ordonez, Carlos Lee and Frank Thomas can attest.

Don't look now, but Chicago White Sox [stats (, schedule (,season=)] manager Ozzie Guillen has decided to go with a closer-by-committee approach with relievers Shingo Takatsu, Dustin Hermanson and Damaso Marte.
``Whoever throws the best is going to be the closer,'' Guillen said.
Does this mean the White Sox will be trading for Byung-Hyun Kim soon?
And did Guillen ask consultant Grady Little about this before he made the decision?

kind of pap, but at least, unlike the CHICAGO media, he correctly quotes Ozzie on Frank, although his interpretation matches the Mariottis of the world's

Guillen said: "It's good to have him here now because he sees a winning attitude, because he was part of the bad attitude. The attitude was horrible here last year."
