The Cards won 1-0 on a Larry Walker double in the 10th.
I know I'm thinking pretty far ahead, but does anyone else Mark Mulder will be with the Sox in 2007?

Amazing game for Mulder. He probably could have gone 12 shutout innings today. It looks like he's finally proving all of the critics wrong. He's a fun pitcher to watch and it's good to see that he's definitely back on track this year.

True, but after the 2005 and 2006 World Series championships, we can sign whoever we want! :gulp:

The Cardinals seem to be one of those franchises where when you get there you don't want to leave. They'll be getting a new park and draw tremendous crowds every night. I think this is a case where if they want him, they'll find a way to keep him.

Just pray he doesn't wind up on the North Side.

Looks like Mulder is back to his old form after getting off to a rough start.

Hudson is 2-0 with a 0.96 era for the Braves:o:

Cub fans should be scared, very scared. The Cubs were about 2 feet away from being swept by the Cards on LaChoke Hawkins final game 1 out to dead center. It looks like Mulder and the Cards are heating up.

What's great here is I have both Mulder and Hudson on my Fantasy team. If only Randy Johnson could come around:angry:.

I'd love to see Mulder in a Sox uniform. He grew up a Sox fan.

I was there and it was all I could have asked for from a Mulder v. Clemens game. Exciting stuff!

It felt like the '60s watch Mulder go 10 innings for the complete game. Very impressive, those big three back in Oakland were so fun to watch. If they could have only stuck together and had Harden come up to, Wow!

I've been reading about this, and saw them talking about it on ESPN. That's outstanding. Good, I'm glad. I like the Cardinals alot, and I hope they blow that division away again this year too. They might not do it by as large of a margin as they did last year, but I think they could/should still win it. They are starting to heat up. It's funny, if you listen to Boers & Bernstein, who I normally like, they're both constantly saying that the Cardinals were a flash in the pan, probably won't take that division, everybody's weaker, and of course....it's the Cubs division for the taking. Sorry guys, but me thinks you might have your collective heads up your arse AGAIN, just like last year. Back then, they continually were saying the Cubs were going to run away with it in the early going. Then, when it became apparent that, no they weren't, Bersntein especially switched gears to say that they would win the wild card in a cake walk. WHOOPS ! Wrong again.

I would like to personally thank Mark Mulder for giving me a much needed boost on my fantasy team this week. He had to know he's on my team...

There was a game in oh, 1963 or 1964 Milwaukee at San Francisco. The game went 18 innings if I remember correctly. Warren Spahn pitched against Juan Marichal.

BOTH PITCHERS went the full distance!

San Francisco won 1-0 on a Willie Mays home run. I GUARANTEE you that 'record' will never be broken and Spahn was like 42 or 43 at the time.

Absolutely incredible. I remember a few games where Billy Pierce pitched 11 or 12 innings for the Sox.

Lip1963. It was 16 innings. Both pitchers threw over 200 pitches.

200 pitches? Sounds like the first five innings of a Kerry Wood start.

Wasn't it just a week ago that we had a speculation thread about Mulder being hurt?

I am glad that was not the case ... I bet my opponent in Fantasy felt the same way.
