Charlotte won 8-2. Great job by the bullpen. Munoz got the win in relief (1-1, 4.76 ERA) aided by Walker and Bajenaru.
Toca homered twice giving him 4 for the season. Borchard Watch: 1-5 a double, scored twice and struck out twice (.180). Anderson was 0-3 with a walk.

Birmingham had their win streak snapped and fell a 1/2 game out of 1st. Pacheco started and was pounded, final score 15-8.
Top of the lineup did well though. Owens 3-5, 2R, RBI, 5th SB. Young 3-5, 2R, 2B. Rogo 4-5, 2R, 3 RBI, .367. Fields had one of those days, 0-5, .256.

Winston-Salem won 11-7. R. Rodriguez improved to 3-0. Amador had a big day, 3H, 3R and 3 RBI. Warthogs are 7-7, 1/2 game out of 1st.

Kannapolis won their 3rd game in a row 4-3 and are 9-6. 1 game out of 1st.
Russell started and pitched well but Little got the win in relief. He's 3-0, 0.90 ERA. J. Hansen hit his 6th homer and is batting .320.

I'm curious about Amador. After a big year in the AZL, he has been absolutely dreadful. Is there any chance that he has turned himself around and will become even a modest prospect? Or is this start a complete illusion and will he fall back to earth soon enough? Opinions?

FORT MILL, SC-- The Chicago White Sox/Charlotte Knights made two roster moves this afternoon. They have signed RHP John Stephens and they have also released RHP Joe Winkelsas.

Stephens, 25, pitched in one game for the Paw Sox in 2005 going 0-1 with a 9.00 era. In his one outing this season Stephens lasted 4.0 innings and allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits. Stephens spent the 2004 season with the Paw Sox going 9-6 with a 4.47 era in 24 games. Stephens also played for the Australian Olympic team in 2004 and helped his team win a silver medal at the games.

Winkelsas, 31, pitched in four games for the Knights this season going 0-0 with a 6.48 era. Winkelsas allowed a combined 6 runs on 11 hits in 8.1 innings pitched during his four outings with the Knights.
