Baseball players (and fans) are probably the most superstitious of all the major sports. Some people have to eat a certain meal before a game, or wear a certain hat, or not wash their socks, etc...

A leadoff walk turns into first and third with one out...I have no confidence in the Royals. None. But maybe they'll pull it off.

Edit: The Twins pull off the luckiest games. The tying run just scored on a poor hit that managed to bounce over Graffaninos head. First and third, one out, tied at 9.

Here's an alternate theory:

Kansas City sucks.

:o:

BTW, we won our game, too, another date is off the schedule, and the Twins don't get another shot at us for nearly 4 full months. Why complain?

Like Grant in 1865, the Sox ought to be prepared to fight it out on this line all summer long. If they do, our team can't lose and Minnesota can't win. Sucks to be them.
