"Police were investigating whether alcohol was a factor."

I lose my balance all the time when I'm not drinking.

Is it possible Ligue was on a field trip to DC this week?

I think I saw him buying a case of Olde English in the liquor store below my apartment. No joke.

Didn't Mets fans drop an opposing fan off the upper deck at Shea a while back?

Wow!

AHA!!! A drunken incident at a ballpark......that's big news!! About time to run a front-page retrospective on the Ligues!!!

I'm actually very surprised that this doesn't happen more often. Everytime I've made the pilgrimage up to the higher rows of Comiskey's UD, I have had grisly visions of this happening to some poor, drunk bastard.

God, he hit railings as he went down, he's lucky to be alive.

I was thinking the same thing. From the 500 level to the 100 level, that's quite a fall at any stadium.

There has been a guy or 2 drop onto the net area behind home plate in the past, but I can't remember anyone falling from an upper deck to ground before...

:o:

That is definitely scary. I remember I nearly tripped walking down the stairs in the UD once at the Cell, but luckily I was able to gain balance :)

This is obviously a case of an upper deck being far too steep. Seriously, RFK does have a very steep upper deck, but this guy was on the ramps in and around the concourses. There's no way someone who wasn't doing something they shouldn't have would take that tumble. Still, I hope for all the best for this guy. BTW he isn't the first to do this- someone else took a similar tumble at a concert in 2002.

I have to believe there was plenty of drunks at RFK when the Redskins played there.:gulp:

Any Skin fans take a header?

Another biligerent fan making headlines due to alchohol consumption?

Uh oh.

I believe this gives George Knue reason to create a story reenacting the Ligue incident, as well as up-to-date information relating to his current status.

My friend said he saw some drunk guy roll down the stairs of the upper deck at Comiskey a few years ago. He didn't go over the edge or anything though.

Didn't a fella die falling at the old park during batting practice or something in the 80's? I could definately think of some other ways to go.
