I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but it seems like the sox are finally letting Nancy Faust play the organ more during games. I was at the Mon nite game against the Twins and it was great to hear alot of organ music. So it seems with all of the retro renovations, they have also retro renovated the music as well!!:bandance: :gulp:

June 22nd vs the Royals is "Nothing but Nancy" night...and senior citizens stroll the bases.

Sounds like a good time.

"stroll the bases" is definitely the appropriate title. I believe it used to be "run the bases."

I noticed Nancy playing more too. You can actually talk to your friends more now during a game without the obnoxiously loud canned music being played so much.

There's also a "Nancy only Music Day" but I forget the date.

In 1970, it ran from April 7 through Sept. 27.

This past winter I wrote Brooks Boyer an email with a few suggestions on what I'd like to see more of at the park. I told him that I'd like to see MORE REPLAYS on the scoreboard, and MORE NANCY FAUST.

He even took the time to respond to my email, and said it was in the works to give Nancy more playing time, and scale way back on the canned music.

P.S. I should add that Boyer also stated that an overwhelming majority of emails were asking for more Nancy Faust.

Great news that they are actually listening to the fans more, unlike Gallas. It sounds like this Brooks Boyer guy is exactly what the Sox needed from a marketing perspective.

I noticed that last night when I got in early-its so much more enjoyable when she is playing AND you can actually carry on conversations while she plays.

Nancy is our institution

Sounds like a good time.Sweet. It is good to hear more Nancy. Maybe she'll even have enough time to roll out "Forever in Blue Jeans" or some of those other moldy oldies she used to play all the time.

I want to hear her play Bach's organ pieces, or something comparably dark, Gothic, and enthralling; we need music with invigorating menace, music that makes you want to jump out on the field and sacrifice a bull to the god of baseball--you know, something a little more South Side.
