I just saw this http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cs-0504170158apr17,1,5536003.story?coll=cs-home-headlines

Take it for what it is. You'd never guess they'd try to come to the Cubs' rescue on another trivial matter.

They've given space (http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cs-0504170158apr17,1,5536003.story?coll=cs-home-headlines) to a cub fan who denies the well-known and previously undisputed truth that, on average, Sox fans know way more about baseball than cub fans. The associated poll has been padded by cub fans and results are now around 50/50.

The mere fact that the article author has to state this, proves our point!!

"Cubs reps will be sure Sox reps do not choose too many bleacher seat frat boys or Lincoln Park Trixie Society girls. In the same way, Cubs reps will see that Sox reps do not populate the test sampling with too many grizzled South Siders who haven't missed a home game since 1959."

Our argument is exactly that, that the people just desrcibed by the author are the typical cubs fan, the standard wrigley patron. His need to mention this fact in order to say hey all the particiapants cant be like that shows us that you have to go to extra special lengths to find the knowledagable or normal cubs fan. Case and point, this argument is over before it even started.

I'd love to be able to respond to the poll and directly to the tribune with a "this poll sucks" photo and the laughing hysterically smiley but the damn limitations of modern technology prevents me from doing so.
