We traded him to the Dodgers for 3 minor league pitchers. I saw it on ESPN News. They didn't know the names of the pitchers though.

Trading him is not a bad thing, he hasn't exactly been helping us stay in the race. 2nd this is a salary dump. 3rd we got 3 players instead of just a draft pick. The draft pick might have been nice to but we have to wait and see who these guys are we recieved.

Chicago White Sox have acquired pitchers Onan Masaoka, Gary Majewski and Jonathan Berry from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for veteran pitcher James Baldwin and cash considerations. The trade was announced this afternoon prior to Baldwin's scheduled start for the White Sox in Cleveland.

Masaoka, 23 and a native of Hilo, Hawaii, was 8-4 with one save and a 5.55 ERA (45 ER/73.0 IP) in 31 games (five starts) at Class AAA Las Vegas in the Dodgers system. The left-hander struck out 61 while walking 28. Masaoka was 3-5 with one save and a 4.23 ERA (44 ER/93.2 IP) in 83 games with the Dodgers over two major-league seasons (1999-2000). He has struck out 88 in 93.2 IP, an average of 8.5 per 9.0 IP.

Majewski, 21, was 4-5 with one save and a 6.24 ERA (52 ER/75.0 IP) in 23 games (13 starts) at Class A Vero Beach. The right-hander was traded by the White Sox, along with two other pitchers, to the Dodgers for Antonio Osuna on March 19.

Berry, 23, has split the season between Vero Beach and Class AA Jacksonville. The right-hander was 0-2 with eight saves and a 4.35 ERA (19 ER/95.2 IP) in 28 games at Vero Beach before being promoted to Jacksonville where he is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA (1 ER/1.0 IP) in one game.

Nope, maybe Kermit can give us his take on who we got. Any putz can see those numbers are bad. But perhaps they were good in the past or something.

Jerry, you are just the king of wit. Maybe you can make that your custom title or something.

Ate I know you are joking but I wasn't. You could have made that deal, better then that. The fact that we re-traded for Gary Majewski just blows my mind. That is Cub-like they trade Scott Downs to Minnesota then re-traded for him then sent him to the Expos.

No I don't get it either. What kind of GM sees a minor leaguer with an ERA of 6.25 and says "Boy, I wish I hadn't traded THAT guy." But here's the scary thing, if Kenny can unload less than 2 million bucks for nothing, whats to stop him from doing it with guys like Ray, Paulie, and Sean Lowe(got a sneaking suspiscion he's gone at the deadline, Kenny hates him)?

It'll be just like a firesale, except without the propects in return.

Kermit said the other day to trade Lowe, but with Williams making the deal that scares me if he does. Is it to late to hire Dan Evans?
