I guess it is not a big deal but since I lived in Chicago for 28 years and was born there I know that Darrin Jackson's pronunciation of Illi-"noise" during yesterday's game against the Mariners was wrong and irritating...He was talking about playing the Illi-"noise" lottery during the broadcast. Does this bother anyone else or am I just nit-picking? :D: The "s" is silent dude!

He's not actually from Illinois, so I'm cutting him some slack, but still...it makes you wonder because he played in this state for the better part of 6 major league seasons and has been a Sox broadcaster for 6 years.

Any chance he was using it in the possessive?

:DJ "I love playing Illinois's lottery!"

Sometimes people pronounce it tongue in cheek, like saying "Idear" instead of idea. Ya know what I mean?

I would say that this is 100 times worse then DJ. I mean he does coach at the University of Illinois. :redneck

Anyone from the US should know how to pronounce it- one of the top signs of imbecilism if you ask me.
