View Full Version : The Moron writes about the curse of ex-cubs

One clear reason the Diamondbacks have blown successive surreal games in the ninth inning--same two-run lead, same two outs, same shaky relief pitcher, nearly the same time of night on the Yankee Stadium clock--is the theory that former Cubs have a debilitating effect on a team trying to win a World Series. Because there hasn't been a championship on the North Side in 93 seasons, people who pass through Wrigleyville are exposed to the curse, then spread it in future autumns to postseason clubhouses. The ballclub with the most ex-Cubs is supposed to be at a severe and inconquerable disadvantage.
