Tons of threads were out before the season started guessing how many hrs the sox would hit this year. Well this is a little bit more acurate. In 5 games the sox hit 8 hrs. Thats 1.6 hms a game.

for the season thats about 259 hrs. THink they can keep that up?

A sig comparing HRs last season to this season might be in order. I think we'll hit just under 200, say 195.

I was thinking that myself- we'll still jack a lot of HRs- not 240 but still around 200, which still puts us in the top third of MLB in HR's. So much for the power outage everyone was predicting for us before the season started.

The great thing is that the HRs have been meaningful, which is apparent by the scores of the game and the 4-1 record. Last year, the Sox had too many HRs that were hit in blow out games.

If they hit 200 homeruns and steal 150 bases as a team I think the loss in homeruns will have been worth it.

To top it all off, most of them were solo home runs. Also the pitching staff allowed way too many home runs. Any team that hit 242 home runs and won only 83 games obviously needed change.
