Rivera is already showing signs of decline. Two opportunities, two blown saves. It may just be that the BoSox live in his head, but if the blown saves continue, how soon before Steinbrenner blows his lid?

Who would they even trade for? Urbina wouldn't be able to handle NY.

So you see what a delicious situation that would be.

"Mr. Steinbrenner, I'm available. Well, kinda. Only if you can match what the Blue Jays are paying me to NOT PITCH for them..."

In fairness to Rivera he SHOULD have had a save today

BUT

A-Fraud triple booted what would have been at least an out at the plate and possibly a double play on a grounder hit by Manny. At worse its 2 outs they still up 3-2 and the Ortiz grounder ends the game

BUT

To hear Rivera booed at Yankee Stadium was shocking. Those so called fans are maggots

Oh and Jeter got beaned today

Finally I tip my hat to Jeter for smart baseball earlier. Damon was running on a pitch that would be called Ball 4. Jeter took the throw and never took the glove off Damon, when he got up to brush himself off he was out.

This is the first time in 3 years where I thought I had a sure thing as a closer on my fantasy team, but at least the Yankees didn't win.

Or Better yet, LaTroy

The BoSox just own Rivera. They are in his head. They said that 5 of his 8 blown saves last year were against Boston.
