What a load of crapola. ESPN finally posts something written by a "White Sox fan" and he dumps all over his team. What a chump.

Yankee fan ESPN stereotype = spoiled (and insufferable)
Bo Sox fan ESPN stereotype = tortured (and insufferable)
Cub fan ESPN stereotype = loveable (and insufferable)
White Sox fan ESPN stereotype = a bitter, no hope complainer.

Sure, there's truth to every stereotype... but come on! I bet this guy airs all his family's dirty laundry in public too. Chump.

How old is that pic of Rowand? He's wearing 44, so it's 2002 at the latest.

Shocking, considering the picture of USCF that they have on their site:

I can't believe I just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading that worthless article.

Hell, he talks more about the Cubs (Wrigley, Dusty and Sammy are mentioned by name) than he does about the Sox.

He does regurgitate the media cliche that the Sox lost power by giving up Magglio and Carlos.

Yea...I don't take too much stock in ESPN as much as I used to as a whole. A lot of it has to do with the sheer laziness of the journalism, mainly in baseball. No research, almost no effort it seems, with the exception of one or two people. That old picture of Rowand with the caption underneath and the old picture of the park is a small example. I mean, photographs are hard to update, but after 3 years?

Wow, that article sucked, even for a non-Bill Simmons ESPN column.

I don't mind Bill Simmons...what don't you like about him?

I meant he was the only good columnist they have.

Except when he writes his Red Sox/Patriots diaries or love fest columns, but his NBA stuff is priceless.

Ha. That's from 2000 or earlier. We still had the old bullpens and no yellow line on the fence. And the iron was still white around the scoreboards.
