No worries, mon.

Sox are 1-0, the Twins and Jndjans are 0-1. That's what matters most.

So much for that theory.

The WXRT morning show is treating the Cubs as the bigger story, complete with soundbites from some dopey Cub fan. Sox get second billing (3rd actually - Illini was 1st) despite being at HOME on a beautiful April day and an awesome 2-hit shutout by Mark Buehrle.

Pitcher's duels are no longer glamorous. I enjoyed watching that game yesterday. That was old school baseball...two pitchers going at it without giving an inch. Let the Scrubs get the headlines and the glory. Remember, we're flying under the radar!:D:

my cubs fans friends called me up to talk crap about the cubs 'huge' win, and the sox 'pathetic' win. so buehrle pitches a GEM and zambrano gives up 3 and more importantly GETS THE BOOT!! the sox manufacture a run against a great up-and-coming pitcher, and the cubs knock around a guy whos been on his way down for a while. i was so pumped about our win!! :bandance:

i guess i wouldve been happy if i was my friend as well, except remember how the yanks knocked the red sox around like that in the ALCS?? baseball is a law of averages, for the most part, and id much rather take the 16 runs the cubs scored and spread them over 4 games. just look how the yanks bats fell apart after getting all their hits out...

I'm waiting for the stories about how the umpires are treating the Cub unfairly.

What an injustice that Zambrano gets thrown out while pitching a gem of a game. The umpires have it out for him this year.

(Is that the right color for sarcasm?)

I was catching heat from a couple of younger, punk*ss Cubs fans about how they (at the time) were killing the D-backs, while the Sox won only 1-0.

I had to remind them that a W is a W. I'd rather win a close game than a blowout.

Yes, that is. And Zambrano's antics are laughable. He is such a hot head. He has awesome stuff but gets so worked up when something doesn't go his way. He has no maturity or composure on the mound. Luckily for the Cubs, Zambrano's stuff may carry them a little way.

We will see how good that killer offense really is when they go against a good pitcher. I was happy to see the Sox pull out a close one against the rivals. Buehrle pitched great and the Sox caught some breaks when they needed them. I am a firm believer that you make your own luck. The Sox didn't make many mistakes and got the win. That is all that matters.

Haha, not bad not bad. I prefer to call him Money-bagllio or Magglio Money-whoredonez myself...
