Pretty interesting game. I would have preferred it had Schilling not have missed this start, but I might watch a few minutes of it nonetheless.

I personally think Wells is going to get knocked around hard tonite...

And it'll be fun to watch.

Anyone else (Other than fenway) planning on tuning into the first game of the new season?

definitely maybe.

EDIT: make that probably... if I do tune in, the game will be on mute because I'll be listening to Ray Charles on my stereo.

I'll probably watch it. It's baseball, even if it does involve two of the three most annoying teams in MLB.

I'll probably flip to and from it at various times this evening. I'm not going to follow too closely but I'll probably watch the start hoping the starters get roughed up. Even though the orioles have sosa, I would love it if both the Sox and the Yanks would fail miserably this season and give the O's or even the Jays a chance.

I'll be watching. Even if it is 2 annoying teams it is baseball.

I wouldn't say "Hell yeah!" but I probably will watch it. Like RKMeibalane said, it is baseball, even though it is between the two of the most annoying and overcovered teams in MLB.

I'm hoping for a rainout. Just to screw up the two teams involved and ESPN.

You mean the Red $ox-Yankee$? If it was the playoffs I'd be rooting for New York, but it's not, so I'm not going to be happy with the result either way. I might take in a few innings but I'm not going to devote my evening to it.

Why not watch it? What the hell else is on TV Sunday nights? Desperate Housewives?

I'm just glad there's going to be a game of some sort being broadcast on Sunday nights. The time between the end of Sunday Night Football and the beginning of Sunday Night Baseball is truly depressing.

I'll watch the first hour, then it's "Desperate Housewives"
time (i'll flip back during the endless commercial breaks).
After 9:00,it's back to Yankmees/ Blow Sawx.

Too bad they both can't lose.:D: :D: :D:

Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria are a helluva lot more
attractive then "Jee-tah" or Johnny Damon.:D: :D:

I'm watching it because Randy Johnson is pitching and he's on one of my fantasy teams. Besides, there's nothing else I want to watch tonight.

I watched it because it's real baseball. I actually like the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. I just don't like the way the media treats it.

Plus I wanted to see RJ and Wells pitch for their new teams. I couldn't help but sit there and think, "What if RJ was taking the mound for the Sox tomorrow?"

It wasn't a very good game. Wells looked like crap. RJ wasn't dominant, but he was good. I'm sure he's enjoying knowing that he'll get 8 runs an outing now rather than 1 or 2.

The outcome has confirmed what I've been saying for the past six months: The Red Sox were the luckiest team in pro sports last year.

Yep. 1 game says so much about a team during a 162-game season.

Exactly my sentiments. I was giddy as a schoolgirl all afternoon. BASEBALL IS HERE!

Did anyone else just hate that stupid 7th inning music thing ESPN had, featuring Fat Joe last night? I dread to see who they pick to represent either the Twins or the White Sox next Sunday.

I changed the channel exactly 0.05 seconds after Fat Joe's face appeared on the screen. Now I know what the term "he got beat with the ugly stick" means.
