Am I hallucinating or is that the worst idea in history?

Am I hallucinating or has this been discussed about 5 times already?

Yeah, that's a really bad idea.

Really bad.

Definitely not a good idea.

I'm growing mine out now specifically for this game

Lets e-mail Brooks and tell him what an awful idea this is!

Actually, its probably the dumbest thing the Sox have done since Joe Stephen. I'll avoid that game along with Dog Day.

I know trends go in cycles, but there is ONE hairstyle that should NEVER come back!!

Oh I don't know about that. I think MacGyver looked pretty good in his.

Actually, no, because this is the first I've heard of it.

What an incredibly bad idea. You are just asking for the Cub loving media and fans to say in a most unclever way: "Isn't every night Mullet night at Comiskey...hahaha"

Check this site out. One of my kids showed it to me and I haven't stopped laughing. http://mulletsgalore.com/

NO NO NO :o: Somebody please give me Brooks' email. It is bad enough Cub fans already think we wear mullets and like somebody said the media will blow this up.

We already get enough crap from sCrUB fans and the media. I've learned over time to just ignore both of them. Who cares what they think? Nothing's going to change their opinion.

Stupidest Idea Ever!

Whoever thought of this should be fired from the Sox organization... And if it was Brooks.. What the hell was he thinking???

If Cubs fans use the "Mullet Day" to slam us, we always have "Out At The Ballgame" to counter their slams.

I love the idea. Anything to bring back the 80's is fine with me.

This is a horrible idea. As I said in another thread, Scrubs fans and the media are gonna have a field day with this.

I remember reading an interview where Brooks mentioned that this idea came from a minor league park - I guess it worked there. I will skip it, I don't understand the fascination with mullet.

It all depends on what they do. If they offer discounted admission to anyone with a mullet, that would be hilarious. Imagin this:

Worker: Mary-Jo, come here now. Does this look like a real mullet?

Mary-Jo: Stacey, it needs to be longer than six inches to be a mullet.

Stacey: No, you got it wrong, girl. Six inches classifies a mullet.

Mary-Jo (obviously flustered and red): That's not what the boss said.
(Turns to Customer) Sir, step over here. I need to pull on your hair to make sure you aren't wearing a wig. (smiles) Wouldn't want you to cheat the system, ya'know?

Customer stammers "ok" then turns and runs off, his mullet wig falling off in the process.

:bandance:

This "Mullet Night" ides doesn't seem so bad to me considering how other teams have used things like shaving people's heads bald for charity and a discounted ticket. One team that pops in my mind is the Mariners...years ago when Jay Buhner was on the team, there was a day when people would donate money to a charity he was raising money for, and get their heads shaved bald. After the haircut, the fans would get in the ballpark for a cheap price.

If the Cubs fans want to laugh at us because of this, let 'em. No one complains when they have "Constantly Drunk and Ignorant Night", or "Let's Take a Cap Off An Opposing Player and Start a Nationally-Televised Brawl" night at Wrigley. Heck...when Barney sang TMOTTBG, people thought that was cute for the "kiddies" at the ballpark.

I don't think that this is a mullet. I think it's curly enough to be a shmelby.

Don't forget "Bandwagon Night" when thousands of people who never heard of the Cubs before 2004 pay inflated prices from the Tribune's own scalping service so they can come in to Wrigley Field and talk on their cell phones and not pay attention to the game.

Or is that what happens pretty much for every game?

or "Let's Take a Cap Off An Opposing Player and Start a Nationally-Televised Brawl" night at Wrigley.

Funny you should mention that, because in the discussion thread about that
article in "Time Out Chicago" the writer mentioned the Ligue incident for the
1,000,000th time. I notice how ignoramuses like this mention that, but never
the "Night of the Stolen Hat" adventure at Wrigley. It is as if it never happened.

Back to our regularly scheduled thread.

I can't believe there's actually going to be a mullet night.

Are we sure they didn't mean this kind of Mullet?
