For those who missed it; Stone was part of the 3-man commentating crew during the Angels/White Sox game which was broadcasted on ESPN2 (CSN also).

Does anyone know if Stone will be with ESPN for the rest of the year?

Don't know. I do like him now that he's not under the Tribune spell. For such an intelligent guy he would become so Cubbie at times. I guess he knew who was signing the checks. He was good during the Sox broadcast.

I hope he is used more often, he was very good during the sox game. And most of the color commentary guys on ESPN are pretty dull, stupid, or dull and stupid. His contract with WSCR allows him to work on the national broadcasts so he'll probably be seen again during the season, but with so many color commenators on ESPN's roster I wonder how much he will be used.

 And I'm gonna hurl if I hear these former players turned ESPN anal-lysts talk about these steroid hearings as "McCarthy witch hunts"........geezz I guess baseball has cleared up any future use of steroids in the game and it's INTEGRITY is still intact.........:(:
