Frank just said that he is going to be a leader this year. (which some argue he always has been)

Frank said he's going to "step out of the shadows and be a leader."

About ARow: "I thought I worked hard, but he gets up at 6 am every day to work out. He's very hungry."

DJ: It's going to take you a while to learn all the new faces here
Frank: Not at all! I've been on the internet nonstop for the past few weeks!

Frank said hes been DYING to get back on the field. Said being
on crutches for 7 months put things in perspective for him .....

Said when he walked into the clubhouse today, He wanted to get on
his knees, and raise his hands to the sky and say Thank You

Also said he hasnt seen Bo Jackson in a while, but that he talked
to Robin Ventura, and that Robin was asked to be on the coaching
Staff, but he said for now, he wants to spend time with his 3 daughters
and his son

He said he wished that Robin did come back this year ....... he would
be good for the coaching staff. He said he really missed Robin and
not seeing him around "I really miss that guy" (that was cool to hear)

On Magglio Ordonez:

Said he talked to Maggs recently, said he is going to miss him, at
which point, both announcers interrupted with 70million not being enough/
took his 75million, then Frank interrupted them and said he Really Truly
believes that Maggs wanted to test the FA Market, but that deep down
he also wanted to stay, and that him staying didnt work out, and that
hes going to have a good year this year.

On what its like to play for Ozzie:

Frank said he didnt know what to expect having Ozzy as Mgr, but
that he played with the guy for 9yrs, so he knew the guy well, and
said that Ozz was always involved in mound discussions with the pitchers
(during pitching changes, mgr/pitcher discussions im assuming)
and he knew what he was talking about. He said Ozz first told him
years and years ago, that "one day, im going to manage and manage
this team". Frank said he didnt think much of it, but funny how
things work out.

He said Ozz is doing a great job ......he said Ozz knows what to expect of him,
and that hes been great with him. He said he never imagined himself
being managed by Ozz.

Wanted to add to this. He said he wouldve been here last week,
but was told to NOT come, he said he was dying to get here, so
he just stayed til the doctors told him to come. This DOESNT
portray the way the MEDIA made it sound, when he wasnt here last week.

I called it to! Right here on these boards I posted about the Oz being tossed from a Marlins game when Torborg got tossed. I'm not going to name any names but some scoffed when I predicted the Oz managing a team within 5 years. HAHA.

It is great to see Frank happy with the Oz as the manager. I expect the Moronitis of the world are very very depressed now. They can't even fabricate a story about the Big Hurt sulking and hate playing for the Oz. This is a truely great day as far as ST days go.

God, that would be awesome, at least from a fan's perspective. I don't know what kind of coach he'd be.

It would have been awesome if he signed a 1-year deal with the Sox.

Coincidentally, I stumbled across this article regarding Ventura's possible return to the Sox as coach.
