Well not really but they are in for a brutal year on radio.

First John Sterling (the Yankees Win theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee yankesssssssssssssssssssssss win) Sterling is still there but Charlie Steiner has left to become the Dodgers radio voice.

So YES Radio execs

decided to put Suzyn Waldman in the booth for the entire game.

I really almost feel sorry for them. To make matters worse they have Michael Kay on TV

but how I enjoyed hearing Sterling say the following words
Sierra grounds to second...over to first
ballgame over
season over
Boston wins the pennant

This is the same woman who called the Loaiza trade "amazing."

Last year, Estaban Loaiza was 21-9 with a 2.90 ERA with 207 strikeouts. The 32 year old has proven that he can deliver, and if this year hasn't been his best, everything about him tells me that he'll be in New York energized and ready to show the city that he is worthy of his All-Star credentials. Itís an amazing deal for Brian Cashman.

How's that baseless assumption looking now Suzyn?

I think the way she spells her name says it all. I bet she dots her "i"s with a flower too.

I don't even know who whats-her-name is... but I'll never feel sorry for the Yankees fans... not even if they had the whole cast of The View doing play by play.

To be fair, I think us Sox fans were the only one's to know Loaiza wasn't nearly the same pitcher he was on '03. The New York media doesn't pay attention to teams or players outside of the AL East.

Does anyone else find all women commentators annoying as hell? I think the Giants might have one, or that's their announcer, and women's basketball is absolutely annoying with a woman behind the mic. Sorry, had to get that one out.

I feel sorry for the stupid schmucks that are cheering Giambi at spring training.

HE'S SUCH A VICTIM!

I hate to say I agree with you. ESPN2 had a woman on College Football games and it was more annoying than most. I hate to be sexist or whatever but it is truely awfull.

Yea I sure feel sorry for those awful Yankee fans, ten straight years in the playoffs...a 200 million dollar payroll...the best owner in the game and four World Series titles just in the last ten years.

God how I'd love for the only Sox problem to be they have a female announcer in the TV booth (and she's STILL better then Mary Shane...circa 1977)

Well, that's their fault. They have TVs and internet access there, yes? It was silly blind faith on her part and she ended up looking like a fool.

well, they're now paying "only" $3M for a bag of balls instead of $9M.....he could turn things around (he's got the arm and stuff) and it's a great trade for us or he could post another 5.50 era and then it is an "amazing" dupe by them.........

I was wondering where that tool was at, since her propaganda columns stopped. She'll be an even bigger management mouthpiece than the Hawk on his worst day. The difference is that Yankee fans will eat that **** up and ask for more. Sox fans are a little more jaundiced, don't you think?

Hey, I'm not defending her at all. What you said is 100% correct.

I suspect that Waldman is a "closet" Red Sox fan since she is a native Bostonian. She once mentioned ~ meeting Ted Williams is one of her fondest memories". Her YES NET bio:
